A message from the CEO

Welcome to Red River Regional Hospital.

This website is being provided to give you an introduction to our hospital. The hospital was originally named Fannin County Memorial hospital.

We are the only hospital in our county and are a proud provider of your essential health services. The hospital, which is locally owned as of March, 2008 has made rapid strides to upgrade services. Improvements have included the expansion of Cardiology and Orthopedic services, remodeling throughout and acquisition of new equipment.

Cardiology consultations and diagnostic exams are now provided for our staff physicians through Advanced Heart Care, a Baylor Affiliated Medical Group located in Plano, Texas. Dr. Gladden is head of the group and they are on-site 3 days per week and cover 24 hours a day/7 days a week. In addition, Dr. Hopkins and Dr. Slabisak provide orthopaedic coverage through a clinic on site each week and provides ER coverage as needed.

Several of the most significant remodeling works include:

(1) Relocation of the Chapel to the first floor. Through funding and support by the hospital auxiliary, the Chapel was remodeled along with the ICU waiting room. The ICU waiting room was doubled in size and furnished specifically with seating and facilities to make a persons wait more comfortable. The chapel is adjacent and is also furnished to provide the atmosphere a person needs during a time of medical crisis.

(2) The hospital is being repainted throughout, making the setting very pleasant while patient or family await their inpatient or outpatient services.

(3) New technological equipment has been purchased for the lab and OR with more on the way for radiology.
